White Elephant Gift

Church had ended and my family and I were walking out and a friend grabbed me and said she had a white elephant party the following evening and wondered if I could make something for her to give. I told her as long as it was simple. She sent me a text later with a very simple statement. And it took me all of ten minutes to whip it up.

Piano Teacher Gift

I have been taking piano lessons since sept. I already know how to play this is just to sharpen my skills, since it's been 20 years since I've taken actual lessons. So for Christmas I wanted to do something for my teacher, and back in Oct. she had posted this quote on fb and said she wanted to hang the quote above her piano. In my head I envisioned making this for her and it would be big. So that she could hang it and center it on the wall with her piano. But as time got closer and I ran out of time, I used a piece if scrap wood and cut the vinyl according to the size. It's still a good size, the wood is 12x12. But  smaller than I initially thought I would make for her.

But I have a feeling she will love it!! And just in time- Christmas is three days away. :)

Wicked witch sign

A friend of mine who often asks me to help her make crafts asked me to make this for her sister. She wanted black with tan vinyl, but I didn't have enough tan vinyl for this project. So I made a stencil with vinyl and painted the words on. They absolutely loved it.

Wedding Orders

A woman who is on my craft group email list (and always faithfully orders crafts for every event) had a daughter getting married the weekend after Thanksgiving. She had numerous signs she needed me to make. She found ideas on etsy and I recreated them at a fraction of the cost.

She set this sign on a table with pictures of their deceased loved ones.
I think this was a wedding gift to her daughter.

She also order signs to direct people.

I was super stressed over each of these. A wedding is a huge deal! I followed the photos as they were posted on Instagram and it was a beautiful wedding and the signs were a great touch.

Remove your shoes sign

My sons preschools teacher has this sign hanging outside for everyone to see as they enter her home. Her assistant had in laws coming for thanksgiving and needed a sign to help remind them to take their shoes off because here in Arizona, everything shows on hard wood floors. And she has gorgeous dark wood floors that she hates having to clean all the time. She found a sign just like this on etsy and I made it for her. It's super cute! And it worked. :)

Heat Vinyl

My friends who ordered the Disneyland vinyl for T-shirts, ordered more iron on vinyl to make shirts for her family promoting her husbands business. She sent me her husbands logo and I was so nervous I wasn't going to be able to make it. The sprinkler head intimidated me and the 4 small ones are only and inch tall.

But they turned out great! And they love them. Again- I need to get more into the heat transfer vinyl.

Nativity Set

My sister in laws mother in law has a nativity set that she just loves. Unfortunately it's 30+ years old. The manger was chipped, the camel had what looked like dog chew bites on it. She wanted a new set and gave me her original one to use as a pattern. I ended up selling 5 of these sets, unintentionally, it was only to people who saw my sister in laws set for her mother in law.

Next year I plan to sell them with my Christmas crafts.

Christmas Tree

Yes I took the photo crooked but I guarantee the tree sits straight. A lady who has bought crafts from me in the past saw a picture of a tree that looks similar to this on a friends page on fb. She asked if I could make it for her. Mine turned out identical. Except for the star. But she didn't like the star on the other one anyways.

Disneyland Shirts

I have two sets of friends who are going to Disneyland soon. They both wanted personalized shirts for their families. I love my silhouette machine. It took no time for me to cut them out, they applied them to the shirts. So I don't have any finished product photos except the one my friend posted on FB.

This is definitely something I want to get into more.

FHE Board Tags

A lady who's bought other crafts from me bought an FHE board at TOFW and wanted permanent names written on the name tags. They turned out super cute. I wrote down the measurements to the board and tags and plan to make/sell these next year.

Sewing Crafts

I was approached by a friend who's mom owns a fabric store and she asked me if I would be interested in selling some simple vinyl blocks at her store. It took me some time, but I found 20 quotes I liked and one friend (who's a seamstress) picked her top 3 and my friend who initially approached me picked a different 3.

am really good at copying crafts on Pinterest, but this was my first time taking a quote and creating a craft around it. My friend loves what I came up with and so does her mom. This is an exciting new adventure for me.

Thankfully she buys them from me for my designated price and then she marks them up and sells them at her store. I
Don't have to worry about having inventory around my house.

Inspirational Subway Art

I had someone order this from me. They had found this subway art on-line and hoped to find someone whocould make it for cheaper. I gave her a quote and a few days later here it was. She was so happy with it. I love a satisfied customer.

Growth Chart Ruler

I have seen so many variations to this project. After looking at it enough times I decided to go ahead and make one. It was the first time I ever stained wood, which was incredibly easy. But I love the way it turned out. It'd be perfect for a teacher to have in her classroom, or a way to measure our kids and if we move, it moves with us.

Kit includes: 8"x 6' prestained wood, vinyl numbers

Kit:$20

PRINCESS

I made the Be-You-Tiful sign and since I wasn't hanging it, I figured I might as well use the back for something else. Scouring Pinterest led me to the perfect saying. It's something I hope she never forgets.

Kit includes: 6"x12" wood, sandpaper, and vinyl lettering.

Photo Frame/Recipe Holder

This can have several different uses. I chose to use it as a frame, but some has used it to hold recipe cards in their kitchen. So it can be whatever you need it to be.

Grandkids Sign

I needed an idea for a mothers day gift- and I really liked this when I saw a version on Pinterest. Thankfully my mom liked it too.

Kit includes wood 6"x 20", sandpaper, ribbon, clothespins, and red and white vinyl lettering.

May Flowers

"April showers bring May flowers" I heard it my whole life. We started decorating these stands, back in Jan with hearts for Feb./Valentines Day. I loved the bright, cheery colors of these flowers. And the simple ribbon touches are perfect too.

Kit- 3 wooden flowers, 3 glass gems, scrapbook paper, ribbon, 3 dowels and 2 bases. $8 w/out stands, $10 with

Family Rules

My sister in law has this printed on canvas in her home. A friend of hers wanted it on wood, and wanted one for herself and her mom. It was by far the largest vinyl I had done to date and has been incredibly popular. It measures 12 inches by 3 feet.

Kit- wood, sandpaper, vinyl lettering. $40

This Be-you-tiful sign measures 6"x12". It's simple phrase speaks volumes.
